Adorned with fabulous illustration by Arthur Rackham (1867 1939) elucidating the fairy-tale novella Undine by Friedrich de la Motte Fouqué (1777 – 1843) George MacDonald (1824-1905) the poet and minister thought Undine "the most beautiful" of all fairy stories,inspired by works by the occultist Paracelsus.
