A beautiful and incredibly detailed map of east Kent 1870 created by William Mudge (1762–1820) an English artillery officer and surveyor who was instrumental in the creation of the Ordnance Survey.
Centered around Canterbury it shows hills, villages and train stations including Railways shown: Chatham and Dover, Extension Whitstable, Canterbury and Whitstable, Ashford and Ramsgate Branch, Eastern and Dover, Minster and Deal Branch, Ramsgate and Margate Branch. Printed on quality, thick, matte paper.
